You guys, WE MADE IT TO 100 EPISODES! I'm so thankful for you! I never take for granted each "listen and download" of the podcast. Truly, you guys are my tribe. SO grateful for you.
In order to celebrate our 100 episodes, a giveaway is a must! RIGHT?! We're giving away ONE 6 session package with me! This is about 2-3 months working together! You don't have to be local to Austin, TX, but we are only taking US residents right now. If you're anywhere in the 50 states, we can work together - yay!
In this episode, we're talking about cancer prevention, which Kim talks about in her book 360 Health.
Kimberly Maravich's background as an RN led to her passion for preventative healthcare and nutrition. While pursuing a BA in English, her love of writing began. She also has an MA in Teaching and worked for more than 12 years as an elementary school teacher. She now combines her talents and enjoys educating and encouraging others to optimize their health through her writings.
She believes that self-care is the deepest form of love, as we can't fully care for others when we put ourselves last. Good nutrition, moderate exercise, and great sleep are the keys to physical health. Just as importantly, gratitude, prayer and spiritual practice, and friendships do wonders for overall wellness.
Kim lives outside of Pittsburgh, PA with her loving husband and two adorable little boys. Their home is filled with excitement, laughter, and much love.

We are so excited to have Jay Nixon on the podcast this week! We're talking about something a little bit deeper than the normal for weight loss. YES, there is so much more to weight loss than the perfect exercise program and a good nutrition plan. Those are really big parts of weight loss, but we're covering something that isn't talked about as much. What we're covering today....
I loved interviewing AJ Neste about this topic on hunting! I've always talked about how important it is to get GOOD quality animal products. Most of the meats you'll find in the store are factory farmed mass produced and super unhealthy. If you don't know a local farmer, hunting is a way you can take control of getting good quality wild animals.
Most of all, I love AJ's view on hunting and his compassion and gratefulness for each animal that feeds and nourishes his family. This is what we're covering in the podcast today:
Have you ever heard of techniques to prevent the use of braces? I haven't either until Dr. Carpenter told me about Dr. Medina who specializes in this, which is called myofunctional orthodontics. Since braces are almost always a part of every childhood it seems, I feel like this topic was a necessary one to talk about! What we're covering on the podcast today:

I'm so excited to be launching the Thrival Nutrition Supplement line next month starting with our multivitamin! Whenever a vision becomes a reality, it's such a bittersweet thing. It's what life is all about. I couldn't have done this process without my husband though, he is seriously amazing. He did all the "hard work" of scouting and finding a good manufacturer, signing paperwork, and all the messy business stuff.
He let me just focus on formulating the perfect multivitamin for you! Which I'm so excited to share with you the difference between mine and MANY others on the market.
If you want to read this podcast episode about how we formulated our multivitamin, head over this way to the blog!
If you want to add your name to the email list, so you can stay up to date with the supplement line and be a part of our launch, do that here!
And if you haven't joined our Facebook Group yet, where have you been?! We need and want you in there! A safe place where you can come to ask questions all about healthy living.
I'm so excited to have Dietitian Cassie on the podcast this week! She is a rockstar! I love that she left the conventional nutrition thinking. When I was looking for the perfect nutrition program for me to learn from, the RD program made me run for the hills. I've heard from so many RD's about them having to unlearn many of the typical nutrition advice you'd hear.
I love RD's like Cassie that are willing to go out in the world with an open mind + help teach others about truly creating a healthy lifestyle.

A HUGE question that I get all the time is "how do you reverse tooth decay? It is possible?" One of my biggest struggles was finding a good dentist that actually understood the whole body approach to dentistry. The word "holistic" dentistry is thrown around and a dentist could be "holistic" by simply just not using mercury. I wanted more. I wanted a dentist to not just fix things when a problem occurred, but to help me keep a healthy mouth and understanding and recommending MORE than just brushing and flossing.
Duh, everyone knows to brush and floss. When I moved to Austin, I was SO happy to find Dr. Carpenter. I finally found a dentist that understand the nutrition side of oral care and how to take the whole body approach in dentistry.
Today, we're speaking about reversing tooth decay. A hot topic among many moms as we search for a natural alternative to take care of our kiddos.
Dr. Carpenter is a holistic dentist and naturopathic doctor in Austin, TX. He is the founder of Transcend Dental. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, International Association of Dental Research, and many more associations and clubs.
Dr. Carpenter has had the opportunity to study and train with some of the finest dentists in clinical practice today. He has additional training in dental digital imaging and routinely performs complimentary dietary analysis to see if diet and/or lifestyle could be contributing to disease.
Dr. Carpenter has a special interest in nutrition and chronic disease prevention and explore alternative approaches to improving overall wellness and quality of the lives of the patients he serves.
